Why Slam Poetry?

We are all connected by the stories we tell. Spoken word team building workshops create a stage for teams to celebrate each other's triumphs, build on the strengths of our diversity, listen to past experiences, and develop dynamic future plans.

The Workshops

Teams build an inclusive, authentic culture through activities designed to encourage bringing employees' whole selves to work, re-energizing and restoring well-being, and building relationships.

Metaphor Mapping

This workshop lets participants  flex creative muscles, dive into lateral thinking, and collaborate in a dynamic way.

Communication & Leadership

Activities in this workshop are designed to keep people in  leadership positions in pulse with their team.

Vision boards, and presentations now come with an amplified creative spin.

Culture Crossroads

We have partnered with Spoken Works from Bay Area Creative for over 4 years and one of the highlights has been their facilitation around team building. They create a safe space for vulnerability and community bonding which has allowed my team to build trust and intentionality with each other. Their energy and dedication to our programs has made us come back every year and has uplifted us to set and achieve higher goals.

Folasade Ogunbanwo - Upward Bound

Spoken Works did a team building session with us that was fun, meaningful and by all means surprising! I had no idea how interesting my other coworkers are and how much we have in common. The stories and poems people shared have made me feel more at home in the office. It's amazing how much more comfortable we are with each other now that we know some of these interesting tidbits.
